Who are YOU?

I was browsing through FB and I saw this photo was posted by a friend.

I don't understand what was written on the caption because the words were written in chinese. The only sentence that was written in English was "We fully support PKR and DAP".

So obviously those feet are the opposition supporters' feet. What are they thinking?

I know everyone has the right to say, the right to choose your own leader. But I guess whoever that eventually managed to BE the leader, deserve to be treated with respect.

I am not saying that I am pro-government, nor I am the opposition (undi adalah rahsia, chewah), BUT, if you have read my previous entries on politics, you can have a wild guess which party do I support.

I am not denying the fact that DS Najib as a leader, is not perfect. In fact who is? Some may relate him to Rosmah's issue, stupid 1Malaysia propaganda, and many more, I shall not say it here, because some issues are over too sensitive.

Tapi percaya lah, sesapa pon yang jadi leader will not run from issues. It's whether he can do the work or not. Whether or not, he takes care of our welfare as his rakyat. You can hate him as a leader, like you hated your boss, but you still have to respect him.

And apa saja salah dia pon, he doesnt deserve to be called 'Hey bro' or 'Mamat' or address him as "kau" in twitter/Fb or whatever social media we have now. I dont think you'd dare to go up to your boss' face and say "Ek eleh boss, ntah apa-apa la cadangan kau tuh, cadangan aku lagi bagus laaa". And your boss would say "Kalau kau bagus sangat, kenapa kau tak ada kat tempat aku sekarang?" Mungkin DS pon cakap macam tu dalam hati dia kan.

He works his ass out to be where he is now. Who are YOU to address him that way? Who are YOU to step on his photos dengan hina dan keji.

Just ask yourself, who are YOU if you were to stand next to him (if you even have the chance to)?

Disclaimer: Saya bukan anak sedara, supupu sepapat DS, Not related.

Bapa Negara

Came across a blog.

About 'bapa segala bapa'.

"Setiap Perdana Menteri Malaysia ada diberikan gelaran masing-masing.Tunku Abdul Rahman dikenali sebagai Bapa Kemerdekaan.Tun Razak di kenali sebagai Bapa Pembangunan , Tun Hussein pula di kenali sebagai Bapa Perpaduan dan Tun Dr Mahathir di berikan jolokan Bapa Kemajuan.Apa lagi yang tinggal untuk diberikan kepada Pak Lah ?"

And the answer is "Bapa mertua khairy". I personally think it's a stupid answer. Why can't Mahathir be "Bapa Mokhzani" or "Bapa Mukhriz"? Of course la he is bapa mertua khairy.. duhh!

I think he is "Bapa Demokrasi"...

It was during his time, people get the opportunity to vote fairly, opponents were given fair chances to speak publicly, dan sebab itu lah kita nampak kekalahan yang teruk pada BN masa pilihanraya.

Masa zaman pemerintahan dia jugak, takder la banyak sangat orang masuk ISA macam zaman dulu-dulu..

Not that I am pro-Pak Lah. I just think he was too nice to be the PM. Too nice and too weak and incapable of being a leader.

But he had shown the world that they are no more the majority.

What a Load of Crap

taken from the STAR....

VARESE (Italy): Two Malaysian cyclists have seen their bid to compete with the world’s emerging elite hit by some strange sports politics leading up to the world road race championships here.
According to a source close to the national team, Malaysia spurned the right to send five riders already qualified for the men’s Under-23 race over fears the trip would blow a hole in their budget.
In stepped Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz, the organiser of the Tour of Malaysia race, who ended up providing the funds to send two of the five qualified riders to Lombardy for the six-day competition. However it remains to be seen how well Fauzan Ahmad Lufti and Anuar Manan, who are fasting, fare in the race today, which will be held over 10 laps of a 17.335km course.
While some of the world’s future road racing stars have been preparing all year for the race, the Malaysians were told only a week ago they would be travelling to Italy.
To make matters worse, both had drastically reduced their training and eating regime, having started fasting on Sept 1.
Inspired by the track cycling pursuits of their compatriots, who gave a good account of themselves in the sprint and keirin events at the Beijing Olympics last month, Fauzan and Anuar are hoping they can one day get to world level.
Fauzan struggled in the Under-23 time trial on Tuesday but he’s not giving up hope.
“I want to get experience at world level by participating with the world’s best.
“I want to continue my road racing career and try to qualify for the elite races one day. AFP

If you don't have passion for the sport, you shouldn't even handle the budget for the developement of the sport. Win or lose is not the ultimate aim in sports of cycling. Who are we to compare them cyclists with the likes of top European or American and Australian Champs.

But give them a break la MNCF. They need those exposures. This is a complete waste of opportunity when it is made clear that Malaysia has 5 spots and we are only sending 2 out of an individual personal funds who care about cycling more than the government itself.

To make it worse, those 2 riders were only told that they could participate a week ago. They are now the victims of poor funds handling and immature decision making.

Tau la musim raya nak dekat...politik pun tunggang langgang...tapi kalau nk jadi champion...pedulik apa semua tu...Fauzan ngan Anuar selamba je nk gi race puasa2 pun...
Why are they doing it? Because they believe in themselves and they love their cycling so much. And bless them for having an ex MP who supports them all out.

I am hoping that the coming Jelajah Malaysia will make MNCF and youth and sports ministry realise how bad their performance are. But I doubt it will be the case. Because to perform at their 'best', they need a lot of 'other' expenditure. And they always prefer to travel first class and stay at luxury hotels and eat the best meal. Tapi yang race nya bukan dorang...

Unless and until this bad exercise is removed altogether, Malaysia will never be better in Singapore in any sports. Not only sports la...sporting events pun sure kene tapau....just look at the innaugural Singapore F1 GP compared to Sepang's?? You people be the judge. They are the ones working hard on making it a better race than Sepang...so don't blame them. We need to buck up and take it as a challenge. Stop making remarks claiming Singapore 'sabotaged' Malaysian GP.

Jelajah Malaysia and LtDL lagi la beruk...takyah nk ckp apa la...sorang bajet belanja budak skolah RM1.50 sorang bajet RM12.00.

Habis rehat dua2 sama kenyang...dua2 sama mengantuk dalam kelas...

Wahai sports politician...grow up and be a man...stand up for yourself or quit!!
Shame on you that it has gone this far to see atheletes sponsored and funded by individuals who understand those atheletes better than you are. Shame on you.

It clearly shows that you have no passion at all towards sports. You only have passion in kissing powerful people's backside to have top post that you have no idea the mechanics of it.

You should just stick to your golf and grand gala or function and leave this to other people who care about sports genuinely.

Melayu mudah lupa

“Tun is always the best”
“u r the best tun”
“Tun, kami sentiasa menyokongmu.Bravo Tun!”

Everytime I make a point to visit Tun Mahathir’s blog, I noticed that each entry will receive at least over 300 comments that sound more like the above comments.

Sometimes, I don’t understand what are these people actually thinking. True, Mahathir has brought civilization to this country. It was during his time, the Malaysian automotive industry began, the third tallest building in the world was constructed, LRT, commuters started to operate, KLIA, Asia’s major aviation hub was opened, Malaysia became the first Asian country to host Commonwealth games, and you hear things like Multimedia Super Corridor, KL F1 circuit, Putrajaya, and many many more. Not to forget his achievements that managed to exclude Malaysia from borrowing International Monetary Fund during 1997 financial crisis, turning Malaysia into industrial and services oriented country from agricultural, instigated wawasan 2020 and banyak lagi lah tak boleh nak cakap, wahai Tun. Kalau saya lah jadi Tun Mahathir, I’d feel embarrassed to even write my next entry in my own blog. Tapi tak, sebaliknya Tun dengan besar hati mengisi kan blog nya dengan mengutuk orang-orang yang berpaling tadah terhadapnya, mengutuk kerajaan, even worse, mengutuk our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi. Siapa dia nak kutuk PM? He is no more in the government. Jangan ingat Tun dah banyak berjasa Tun ada hak nak disrespect the PM.

Ini bukan masalah Pak Lah tak tau memimpin, ini masalah rakyat dah benci dengan pemimpin and they are in need of change.

If you can’t make a change, then shut up! Memang, Pak Lah tak layak untuk menjadi Perdana Menteri. Not because dia seorang yang irresponsible, and tak prihatin.

Tapi, your era has over. You have served the nation for a very long time, ever since I can remember. You should not have criticized the PM once you have stepped down, because it is no longer your privilege to act like a dictator.

Malaysia Decides

8th March 2008
12th General Election
BBC news reported that the National Coalition (Barisan National) is expected to win but with narrower margin compared to the 2004 General Election.

With the controversial issues brought up by the Opposition Parties for the past 6 months they are also expected to win more seats compared to the last General Election. I am happy and satisfied that the process of voting was smooth and went well. The number of people turning up to vote was also quite convincing. I did not expect to be queuing at 0820 in the morning to vote.

The results are expected to be ready by midnight.

Helicopter joke:

PakLah, Samy Vellu and a pilot are on board a helicopter flying above KL.

PakLah: I have two RM50 notes with me, if i throw it out of this chopper I will make
2 people happy.

Samy Vellu: I have a better plan. If I throw one hundred RM 1 notes, I shall make 100
people happy.

Pilot: Mine is even better! If I throw both of you out of my chopper, I will make 23
million people happy.

Happy Voting folks....

Cannot Tahan...

For the past 2 weeks or so, I have been enjoying coffee at Mcdonalds. About 2 months ago, it was reported that Starbucks Coffee Co is thinking of bringing a legal action against McDonalds to stop them from having their own coffee bar in McDonalds. McDonalds is trying to introduce a new line up of coffees and teas where customers get to choose and customize their hot beverages which is a good step to boost their business. However, this move was not in Starbucks' liking as it would jeopardise their sales. It would be economical to go to McDonalds then since their coffees would be cheaper, but not necessarily tastier. But I don't think Starbucks would be put out of busineess, one because they sell good coffees at relatively fair price (if you are earning in USD or GBP) that is. But even here in this country Starbucks have 100 stores nationwide. It only started with 3 in Dec 1998.

On average there is 1 new starbucks opening every one and a half month since then. The business has kept on growng because Malaysians generally like to be seen in Starbucks Coffee shops. But only about 5-10% actually understand and appreciate the coffee that they drink. About 50-65% would go to Starbucks Coffee with a sign on their forehead when they order their drink "hey...check out this chick I'm with and we want ice blended stuff". Having that kind of attitude is not gonna win you any respect.

The best way to gain respect is by being nice to others and respect others equally even if the other person could only afford an 80 sen kopi o at local mamak place or even stalls. If you can afford a RM 7 kopi o doesn't say that you are any different than a guy who drinks 80 sen kopi o. It is your actions and attitude that says the most. Hell you can be with the hottest chick, drives the fanciest car or dress like a hollywood star for all i care. But if you don't get your act together, you are just a nobody with tonnes of money and frankly speaking that is how many politicians in this country shape up their 'career'.

Firstly, to start with...they have plenty of money but no recognition. people don't take note of them. Therefore many rich Malays in this country would try their 'luck' in politics. I have said before that politics are 'interesting' because it can be very unpredictable. A nominated candidate can be a useless person and a dropped candidate was the right person that is suppose to contest in the elections. It works that way in this country. If you don't "scratch my back as I tell you to scratch your political career is in jeopardy" and if " I 'think' you are not fit for the job, you should step down". That explains why there are plenty of idiots in the Parliament. And I believe it will be the same for many years to come. And I personally think no matter who is in power, at the end of the day not much will change if we change our attitude and way of thinking.

I shall illustrate this scenario below how a typical Malaysian leader 'solve issues'.

Scene in a McDonalds packed with people eating away their meals. A man with his family enters the restaurant. The man sits at a table which was left with wrappings burgers and paper cups by patrons who sat there earlier. Imagine that pile of stuffs left behind is "the issue/problem". And the man is the leader. What would you think the man would do if this was in this country? I'll tell you what he would do,

1)he would either ask for the staff to clean the table for him,

2)tell his children to throw them away and keep it out of that man's sight,

3)walk up to the counter, beat the queuing customers and yell at the cashier to clean the table if he chooses not to exercise the first two options.

That is how a Malaysian leader thinks, that is how Malaysians act in this country. They do not concentrate of solving or eliminating the issues. They rather focus on who to blame and who should be responsible rather than being responsible themselves.

They key issue here lies in 2 "secret" options. Imagine McDonalds in Malaysia....it is a self service restaurant, what we should understand from this is that, you have to queue and place your order at the counter, carry your own tray of foods and beverages and empty them in the bins provided before you leave. That is how a self service restaurant should operate. But it is sad that Malaysians are only civic minded when they are in need of something, once they have stuffed their bellies and happy they forget all the basic principles and leave behind their litter. And when a new hungry Malaysian comes across the table, the situation above occurs all over again.

Why leaders are bad in this country is simple. They think like typical Malaysians. They would rather walk up to the counter and yell to the poor cashier rather than throwing the litter themselves at the bin next to his table. Sad sad attitude that we Malaysians have. We have this attitude that we feel embarrass to clean up other people's mess and rather put on a 'show' at the counter so that other people could witness how powerful you are to be exercising your 'customer is always right' bullshit. You were never in the right place from the beginning. You should be in a restaurant with full of waiters/waitresses. But guess what? You could not go to those places because you can't afford it. But you still want people to know that you have some kind of control by going up against a poor old cashier who did not do anything wrong. The most fundamental right as a citizen is the right to vote and yet we still have a high percentage of citizens who do not register themselves and complaint about the government, opposition etc.

If Malaysians start to respect each other more and try hard to be smarter and wiser. This country would be great to live, work, play in. I am optimistic of that. But until that day arrive, we have a tough challenge ahead. A very tough one. And we need leaders who can see the SECRET option and implement them in office. I tell you when that happens, that is a leader with vision. Don't act stupid by talking bollocks of rubbish and accomplish nothing!

Casts:
Man in McDonalds - past, present (hopefully not the future leaders)
Man's Family - cabinet ministers
Cashier - dropped,left behind leaders
Litter - issues and problems pertaining the beloved nation

To my fellow Malaysians...
Happy campaigning, voting if you have registered....
if you haven't...please do for the sake of your future and the younger generations...
PPS: to the future appointed leaders...stop being typical Malaysians...it is time for a better MALAYSIA.

In Memory...Dalam Kenangan

8 months ago our country loss one of its most brilliant but not so influential (according to some drama kings and queens presently) Judge this country has ever had. And in conjunction with this a memorial will be held at Dewan Tunku Canselor, University of Malaya at 1600. It will be chaired by Vice-Chancellor, University of Malaya, Datuk Rafiah Salim. The Regent of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah who is also the University's Pro-Chancellor and his consort, Tuanku Zara are also scheduled to attend. The great man I am refering to is the late Rt Hon Mr Justice Tan Sri Abdul Malek Ahmad.

Tan Sri Abdul Malek was born in Singapore on July 28,1944. He got his early education at the McNair school and secondary education at the Raffles Institution in Singapore. Qualified as a barrister-at-law, he read law at the Inner Temple, London and was called to the English Bar in November 1965.

He had served in various judicial posts including as a Magistrate, Deputy Public Prosecution, President Sessions Court, Senior President Sessions Court and Deputy Parliamentary Draftsmen before he became the Parliamentary draftsmen in 1982-1984. He held all these positions before the age of 40.

At 40, Allahyarham Tan Sri Malek was elevated to the High Court Bench in early 1985. He served as a High Court Judge in various states including Kelantan, Perak and Kuala Lumpur. In 1995 he was elevated as a Court of Appeal Judge. And in 1999, he was appointed to the Federal Court. And in 2004, he was appointed President of the Court of Appeal. The Malaysian Bar Council had this to say in their welcoming speech about this great Judge.

“Justice Malek Ahmad has in his many years on the Bench demonstrated the right judicial qualities and temperament. He has exhibited judicial independence and integrity, and enjoys widespread respect from the Bar and those who are familiar with the functioning of the judiciary in Malaysia. His proven ability, reputation, standing, seniority and experience (all of which are criteria which the Bar consistently advocates to be relevant to judicial appointments and promotions) make him well suited for this important position. It remains for him in the years to come to draw on these qualities in introducing the necessary changes and improvements to the system in a way that will restore public confidence in the judiciary. This appointment augurs well for the future of the judicial system in Malaysia."

In 2005, he made history being the first and only Malaysian to be appointed an Honorary Overseas Bencher of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London.

This man had battled brain cancer for 6 months with his whole family by his side every moment until he passed away. He leaves behind a loving and caring woman, wife and mother, Puan Sri Roziah Sheikh Mohamed and six children: Farhan, Farhana, Fatin, Farina, Farisa, and Faiqah. He was a friendly and very wise man. His arguments and decision making were always very accurate and left very little room for error or criticisms. He was a family man who loves his family very much. He enjoyed swimming and bowling with his family. He even cleans the dishes after dinner. He leaves behind a very proud family. His whole family is proud of him, not only of what he has done in his line of duty, but as a human being a great human being. His fight against cancer was inevitable and we all wishes him peace and happiness in the afterlife InsyaAllah.

You will be missed...
May Peace be on your Soul
Amin.

Peaceful Retirement...

Politics is like football...to be remembered in a good way for a long time you must retire at your peak. But neither politicians nor footballers retire at their prime. But more often than not, footballers get to retire in peace and with a lot of money depending on how good you are. If you are playing in the M league or some S league you can consider applying for other jobs once you retire simply because you need to work to earn money for the rest of your life.

In most countries including our country, politicians tend to stick to their 'playing field' as long as they can. Maybe because most of them have this mentality of 'I scratch your back and you shall do the same' attitude. But the moment that perception is put into practice politicians are derailed from their ultimate task which is to serve the citizen to its priority interests. They rather have discussions of who has a better handicap in golf, who can own big cars and houses with their 'paycheck' and most importantly how do they do it.

It is as good as being a footballer who accept bribes or selling games. Even those footballers are not getting any favouritsm among loyal avid fans. Politicians should have been removed long ago if they are caught exercising illegal acts or practices. Ministerial Responsibility hardly exist in this country. It seems to exist only if you are caught on camera having a jolly 'good time'.

think of it from a practical and logic point of view. Politicians who have caused dissatisfaction and
played mind games and tricks to trick the public should kiss their happy and relaxed retirement goodbye. Bid farewell too it. Bear this in mind...the higher post a politician held before he stepped down, he might have to spend his festive seasons in hospitals and as soon as you are declared healthy you'll probably be called by the law enforcers or a Commission to testify about every possible mistakes that you have done and wrong decisions you have made.

moral of the story is to retire at your prime and never look back. Or better still only be a politician if you are truly capable of filling in those shoes. It is really sad to see quite a number of MPs in parliament are jeorpadising this country's potential.
