15 Minutes That Shook the World

ALEX FERGUSON has been jokingly portrayed as a whisky-swilling drunk in a film starring Liverpool aces Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

And Gary Neville is labelled a rat who "hates Scousers" in the same mickey-taking movie.

The Manchester United legends come under fire in a comedy called Fifteen Minutes That Shook the World.

It is a fictional account of events that inspired Liverpool's fightback against AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League Final and is sure to spark an Old Trafford backlash.

In one scene a Fergie "lookalike" called McTaggart phones a player, who resembles Neville, to celebrate Liverpool trailing Milan by three goals.

The Neville character is wearing a United No 2 shirt bearing the name 'Rat Boy' on the back and responds by singing about how he hates Scousers - a parody of the song United fans taunt at their bitter Anfield rivals.

When the news of Liverpool's stirring fightback - capped by their penalty shootout win - comes out, McTaggart is seen knocking back a bottle of scotch which has the words 'Manager of the Month but not as good as Bob Paisley' on it.

Kop skipper Gerrard, 29, and vice-captain Carragher, 31, have cameo roles in the film and they were joined by boss Rafa Benitez at the premiere on Monday night.

United declined to comment on Liverpool playwright Dave Kirby's 43-minute film last night - and the final cut may also have come as a shock to the Liverpool stars as well.

But Ferguson and his club captain Neville are likely to be unimpressed by the involvement of Gerrard, Carragher and others at Anfield.

Ferguson was angered the last time a club poked fun at United, slamming Manchester City as a "small club with a small mentality" over their Welcome to Manchester poster.

It was erected in the summer after Carlos Tevez's shock switch across the city.

Dukethon - Nak ke tak nak?

Him: Ahad ni Dukethon, so how?
(How means “how’s the preparation?” or How means “Do you need me to fetch you?”

Me: Kalau I tak pergi, you kisah tak?
(Risau betul because it’s only 5km, kalau yg masuk tu semua power, maka aku last lah lagi) Poyo, I know.. :)

Him: Tak kisah jer, ikut suka you lah
(Kalau you tak pergi lagi bagus!)

Me: Eleh, suka lah tu, if I tak pergi, tak payah you nak datang ambik I kan?
(Betul ker dia tak kisah aku tak pergi nih..)

Him: Takder laaa… if you tak pergi boleh la I lari betul-betul. At least I can train myself jugak, I kan ada marathon nanti in December.
(Confirm dia tak nak aku pergi)

Me: Eleh, if I join pun you lari jer la betul-betul jugak, tak payah la lari with me..nanti you last baru tahu.
(Tiba-tiba tak puas hati plak dia tak nak aku pergi)

Him: Eh, tak lah...Second last kot. Last would be YOU.
(Cis, CONFIDENT GILER dia that I will be the last to reach the finish line!)

Terry Fox Run 2009

This year's Run is my 3rd outing for Terry fox Run, the first being back in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Like last year, we managed to gather quite a number of people with help from friends on Facebook to turn up for the run in Sarong. The weather was clear and sunny and the number of supporters are definitely more than 5 thousand at least. With the huge number of people, most of us Sarong People decided early enough that we are just going to enjoy the morning stroll and have fun. It is more of a walk than a run. But everything went very smooth and they were also handing out drinking water every 1 km I think. It was a hot hot morning and perspiration was kicking in even before the 9am start.

Unlike in 2006, this year's Run was supported by mostly Malaysians. And quite a number of people noticed us last year and asked if we were the same group of people. Yes we are..hehe.

My cousin, Arif who started running recently also decided to join the event clad in Sarong :)

Here are some photos taken earlier at the event - courtesy of Haza and Abg Adli of Starbucks Malaysia.
