Apa erti berjemaah

Forgive me if I am not aware of the meaning of congregation prayers. Extracted from ‘Panduan Menunaikan Solat Berjemaah’.

Daripada Anas r.a: Nabi s.a.w berkata “Be close together and straighten your rows” – al Bukhari & Muslim

Anas also reported that the Prophet would say “ Make your rows straight for the straightening of the rows is part of the perfection of the congregation prayer” – Abu Daud

So the correct way of berjemaah is:

1. Forming straight lines or rows & not leaving gaps in it.
2. Setiap individu mestilah berdiri rapat dengan bahu menyentuh bahu saudara bersebelahan
3. Ruang kosong perlu diisikan sebelum membentuk saf yang baru
4. It is undesirable or makhruh for a person to stand alone in a single line
5. Formation of new saf should start from the centre, not corners of both sides.

So with the gaps in the lines, the objective will not be achieved.

I appreciate the fact that as parents, we are concern about our children’s exposure kepada benda-benda yang baik. Alhamdulillah. Tapi, tolong lah considerate sikit, if you think you are taking child with you, and you know your child belum betul-betul solat, pergi lah pada saf yang belakang. How can you let your child stand and baring-baring in the middle of the saf? How selfish can you be? So I wonder, the saf tu sempurna atau tidak with the mom letting her young child stand in the middle, not even trying to follow the jemaah.

Solat terawikh can be done at home. Can be performed without imam. So don’t put other people at risk. You know there are many kids and elder people (high risk category) performing their solat at the mosque.

And...kalau tujuan nak datang masjid dan nak solat bawah kipas, TOLONG BALIK RUMAH!

Spot the difference

My results in November 2008.

July 2009

The moment I saw my friend's result where he passed one of the subjects, i knew already that i failed both.

I couldn't be better than him, I never was. When he failed both in the first round, my fail was worst. When he passed one of those the second time, I failed again.

Argghh.. Why issit so hard to get through the advanced stage.

Why?

Sorry papa.. I have been wasting your money.

I know I am not up to the standard. I should have just sat for ACCA, but I wanted challenge without 'mengukur kain di badan sendiri'.

I should have just get married and be a housewife but my dad has always wanted me to be an accountant. OK lah, it's my dream too.. but it's sooo hard lah.

My father once said "Reach for the stars, if you ever fall, you'll fall on the moon".

But the stars are sooo high for me. You know I am short and stout!
Haiihh...There are times I feel like I'm wasting my time, money and energy. A lot of times I feel like quitting.

But hell....I am NOT a quitter!

Not yet. :D

Pagi yang hujan

Sedang makan sahur, tetiba hujan.

Semakin lebat..

Aku dan ibu berpandangan.

Dalam hati..

"Ahh..hujan bestnya..."

"Ahh..kalau dapat tido kan best, tapi ada meeting esok pagi kene gi awal"

"Ahh..kan best kalau esok 31 Ogos, boleh cuti.."

"Ahhh..cepat la Subuh, then boleh la sambung tido dan menikmati sisa-sisa tido sebelum pagi menjelma"

Tetiba bapa saya cakap..

"Aku tak gi kerja lah.."

Cisss... kenapa mesti ada orang yang suka bagi aku jeles pagi-pagi ni?

Ramadhan 1430H

Setiap bulan Ramadhan, aku akan membuat satu list yang panjang, untuk aku capai. Boleh kata macam New Year resolution la gitu.

Tapi by the end of ramadhan, takkan ada satu pon yang termampu untuk dicapai.

This Ramadhan, aku mengalihkan aspiration aku kepada beberapa perkara lain.

1. Pergi terawikh lebih banyak dari tahun lepas.
3. Pakai baju kurung hari-hari
4. Turun kan berat badan walaupun satu kg.
5. Try to make a point untuk berbuka puasa dengan all set of friends sepanjang Ramadhan
7. Berbuka puasa di rumah lebih kerap
8. Menunaikan 5 waktu solat penuh setiap hari
9. Involve in at least one charity work
10. Balik kerja awal

Tak ingin aku kecundang lagi.

I ain't an angel

Mungkin dalam kebanyakan entries posted to my blog akan mungkin ada di antaranya yang will get people offended.

Sharing is important.

Tapi jauh sekali niat ku untuk mengaibkan orang, kerana dalam apa saja penulisan ku yang sebegitu, tak pernah aku menamakan sesiapa, walaupun the disagreement is against my own mother. But I still let it out. I NEED to vent it out kerana mungkin itu adalah sesuatu yang aku rasa tak patut berlaku. Dan aku tak mampu mengubah keadaan.

Not because she’s my mother, I don’t talk about things that I disagree with her in my entries. I do. A lot. Hakikatnya, I won’t give names sebab itu bukan niat ku. The aim is just to get my messages across.

Bukan lah maksudnya aku ni baik, alim jauh sekali.

Got banged

Somebody knocked my car from the back. It was at the traffic light near my house. As the light turned green, I was supposed to make a U-turn, and I started to move slowly and suddenly BANG!!!

It took me a while to figure out what has just happened. “Oh shit, aku kene langgar, yeh?”

So I went down and headed to the knocker’s window. Everybody started to honk, naturally because we were blocking the way as the traffic light has already turned green.

The man in the car said “You make the U-turn first and I’ll meet you by the road side”

I didn’t know whether or not to trust him. I got back into my car and took a glance at the plate number, in case he runs away, I can lodge a police report.

So after the U-turn, I stopped by the road side, and he followed. I ACTUALLY GOT OUT FROM MY CAR. Hmm.. Wasn’t there any warnings about not to get down from your car if you ever get knocked at night?

Yes, there was, but I forgot. OK, I forgot!

But the guy seemed nice although he sounded and smelt drunk. It was dark, so we couldn’t really see if my car was dented. We couldn’t really see anything in fact. He gave me his business card and told me to call him if I discover any damage to the car the next morning.

Luckily I didn’t get robbed. Alhamdulillah.. I remember a friend of mine once told me that a guy knocked her car from the back and as they stopped by the road side to see the damage to the car, suddenly a group of ‘mat rempit’ came over, conveniently wanted to check out what’s happening. Apparently, they are associated with the first guy who purposely banged her car, and they robbed her.

Alhamdulillah.. I was lucky. Lucky that I didn’t get robbed as well as lucky that the car wasn’t damage at all.

Before the guy left, he said “Please call me if you need to go and repair your car. But please do it properly ok (in a ways he wants to tell me not to cheat him)? Otherwise we can be family friend. Hahahaha”.

“Hah?”

He left me there feeling puzzled. “Apa kene mengena repair kereta dengan being family friend?”

Mabuk.

Once she fell in love

Time passes slow
Shackle the steps of the journey
Hundreds of stories
Delineate became a dilemma
Doesn’t he understand the feeling?
It is unbreakable

The hours of darkness have cried
The drops wet the heart’s eyes
Trying to stand
On the tip
Of the delicate love
The thing that she’s holding on
Is not something easy to let go

She has gone too far, loving him
And she has given all her heart
But why is it only now
That he questioned her love
She cannot understand
The flaws and the shortcomings
But now it’s too late to be pointing fingers
Because once she fell in love, she will always be in love

Mars & Venus

Men are from Mars and women are from Venus.
This is acknowledged for very good reasons.

To define women: (taken from http://www.venus-vs-mars.com/)

*Women are far more complex then men. Their needs and desires are numerous, but fluctuate more as well. Better listening skills is always needed: Men need to be more interactive, to be more empathetic and more connective with their communication skill -i.e. Much More Sensitivity.

*Women having their "purposed petty" problems taken seriously. Men must exercise higher social skills during discussions with their mate on difficulties (and rarely help in solving, nor to speak, and to mostly listen, holding and or cuddling, tender touching -brushing the hair with the fingers, but not sex motivated).

*More regular discussion intervals and more open communications needed: Men obviously need to have more attentiveness and interest in their mate's issues, both on facts presented, her feeling levels being expressed, and to remember these things and when they happen.

*Women have a need for attention -vers- having sex: Men need to make them feel nourish of their relationship, the feeling that she's a love partner, and not just a love object or boy sex tool.

*Women need appreciation: Men need to give thanks and gratitude for all she has done.

*Women have the need for the real interest in her life: Men should have the curiosity about her day, her beliefs, and her dreams.

*Women enjoy the feeling of being a part of her man's life: Men should be sharing goals and values with her, talking over family economics, business ventures, and planning family gathers throughout the year, and recreation activities, etc.

*Women love to have little experiences of social and emotional remembrance shared in private and in public: Men need to learn writing little notes, giving little gifts, and making special plans that say, "I love you."

*Her partner's involvement in things she enjoys: willingness to indulge, to share ideas, to learn with, to participate in her favorite pleasures.

*Understanding: trying to comprehend using intuition and logic, to listen.

*Closeness: holding her in his arms, touching her gently when spoken to, or being spoken to, giving her the presence of protecting her.

*Tenderness: Verbalize the use of kind words, expressions, sensitive tones, and to listen.

*Acceptance of who she is as she is: permission to be imperfect, affirmation of her appearance, go shopping with her, to learn and appreciate her fashion tastes, her character, and achievements.

-We want Mr. Right to accept us and love us for who we really are and to treat us with respect and honor.

They are always the opposite.

Tetapi kalau lelaki belajar untuk hidup cara the Venus style seperti di atas, your partner will be the happiest woman alive.
Orang tanya, "kenapa lelaki jer kene give in and not women?"
Perempuan dijadikan dari tulang rusuk Nabi Adam, sesungguhnya perempuan tu lemah in the inside walaupon kadang-kadang nampak ganas on the outside.
A chinese guy, Mr N once said to me, "Girls are made to be 'sayang-sayang'ed. And guys like me are made to love them".

MUDS - UM Duathlon

I was supposed to race in the Men's Relay category with Ayman. Unfortunately, he was hospitalised on Thursday and had to pull out of the race. I changed our entry to University Open category for this leg. I have not been running for quite some time and the approach for Saturday's race was to maintain a comfortable pace and save the legs for those 4 big climbs.

Met some familiar faces and also made new friends before the race. Shared some stupid jokes with Isma and wished everyone a good and safe race.

The race consisted of 3.5km run 11.4km cycling and 3.5km of run. My aim was to finish each leg no more than 30 minutes. I started at the back in the first run and kept the pace comfortable and steady. The running route was partly hilly and fun. Managed to finish the 2 loops of running approximately 23 minutes (kura-kura).

There were less then 10 bikes in my category when I came into the transition area (top 10 from opposite end - chantek). The cycling part is all climb and descent....no flat part to even think of drafting. So my strategy was to spin sesedap rasa memanjat bukit2 tersebut. Managed to gain back lost time from turtle run earlier as quite a number of cyclist either cycled really easy or dismounted and pushed their bikes. Managed to finish the bike leg in about half and hour.

As I changed my running shoes for the 2nd run I told myself to keep running however slow it takes until I finish the distance required. No cramps and discomfort until the very end where my stomach started cramping up a little, but that was already too close to the finish so I kept running ala bapak tortoise towards the finish and managed to do it in 1hour 19 minutes plus minus. I did not care much of the timing or enven getting a placing but I am satisfied and glad that the race was fun and trouble free.

ps- a big thank you to ET Tey for spending his time and effort snapping pictures of the race. And to Malakoff,QuickRelease Adventures, Powerbar and participating Universities.
